A lot of people out there seem to feel that fish are not the cleverest of animals out there in the world. Well look at the great salmon run, the ability to stick together to avoid attack, some may call this natural instinct but others clever wit. I believe that these two events and much much more are down to cleverness and further research has been done on tropical fish to prove this.

With this I am not talking about the average fish that you will find in your aquarium fish tank swimming around in the aquarium plants. I am actually going on about fish that can be found in French Polynesia.

One of the things that actually make us human is our ability to think for ourselves, think ahead and interact to the behavior from other people. In other words it would seem we can take on the old phrase you scratch my back and I will scratch yours. It would seem that a recent study has said that certain kinds of fish (of the tropical kind) can do the same.

The cleaner fish are called this because they can clean other species of fish but it would seem that they took a little nip at the ones they usually clean so that next time they bump into each other they know that the partnership is already there, simply amazing. The bigger fish then look out for the smaller ones in return for them cleaning them.

So although you are not likely to see this kind of thing in your tropical tank it is still possible in the world of fish so it would seem that they are a lot cleverer than people first think they are.

So this is just a bit of proof to say that animals do have the qualities of humans. There you have it, there are just some of the things that these types of creatures did that I bet you did not know.
